A journey into an 80’s night of neon, kung-fu and biker gangs, of retro fauxtronica, modern synth, and leftfield sampling, of dark soundscapes and weird melancholia. It’s the kind of music Ryo Hazuki would listen to on his portable tape player while hanging around Dobuita after dark, if he was a) cool, and b) didn’t have to warp home at 11.30pm. (Note: not a lot of videogame music here, let alone Shenmue tunes!)
