FILM 2012: #34. Flame and Citron
Everyone likes a classy polished European WWII resistance thriller, right? Flame and Citron’s certainly all that, with great performances and really tense moments peppered throughout (even if the whole ‘who can you trust?’ aspect gets fairly laboured). It’s not quite as exciting as Paul Verhoeven’s Black Book for instance, but it gets the job done. Plus, I did a total girly yelp when Troels from The Killing popped up (okay, so Lars Mikkelsen just happens to be co-star Mads Mikkelsen’s brother, so it’s not a massive cowinkydink, but I didn’t know that at the time)!
